A Japanese ramen bar and izakaya in The Greens with a Michelin Bib Gourmand, serving shio, shoyu and miso ramen, yakitori and small plates.
Kinoya is a Japanese ramen bar and izakaya in The Onyx Tower 2, next to Zabeel House in The Greens. It has become one of the city's best-known ramen addresses, the Michelin Guide awards it a Bib Gourmand, and the menu goes well beyond noodles.
Ramen is still the main draw, in shio, shoyu, miso and wontonmen versions, but it is worth exploring the yakitori skewers, tempura, sushi and kobachi small plates, as well as dishes such as donabe rice pots and omurice. Drinks are served, making it a good spot for a long, sociable evening. Kinoya is closed on Mondays, and the kitchen stops taking ramen orders mid-afternoon and again late in the evening, so check last orders before you go. Reservations can be made online or by email.
