Attraction
Burj Khalifa
The world's tallest building, rising 828 metres over Downtown Dubai, with observation decks on levels 124, 125 and 148 open to ticketed visitors.
A seasonal flower park in Al Barsha South where millions of blooms are arranged into large sculptures, arches and themed displays during the cooler months.
Good to know
Dubai Miracle Garden opens only in the cooler part of the year, when its planted displays come into their own. Flowers are trained over frames to form oversized sculptures, tunnels, hearts and characters, making it a colourful contrast to the city's glass towers and a favourite with families and photographers.
Tickets are sold online as single-entry passes, and a combination ticket adds the neighbouring Butterfly Garden, which is worth considering if you have children with you. The garden sits inland in Al Barsha South, so plan on a taxi or car. Because it closes for the summer, check the official website for the current season's dates before travelling, and aim for late afternoon so you can see the displays in daylight and stay as the lights come on.
