Restaurant
Trèsind Studio
A three-Michelin-star Indian tasting-menu restaurant on Palm Jumeirah, reimagining regional Indian cooking with produce sourced from UAE farms.
A Satwa shawarma and juice stop open since 1979, famous for chicken shawarma with garlic sauce, falafel and fresh fruit juices late into the night.
Al Mallah has been part of Satwa's street-food scene since 1979 and remains one of the first names residents mention when the conversation turns to shawarma. It is a straightforward, fast-moving place where consistency is the main attraction.
Order the chicken shawarma, wrapped tight with garlic sauce and pickles, and a portion of falafel, then wash it down with one of the fresh fruit juices that have been part of its appeal for decades. Prices are low and service is quick, which makes it a dependable late-night stop. The outdoor tables are pleasant from October to April; in summer, most people take their food away. Combine a visit with a stroll around Satwa's tailors and fabric shops.
