Restaurant
Disfrutar
Three-Michelin-star restaurant in the Eixample run by former elBulli chefs Oriol Castro, Eduard Xatruch and Mateu Casañas, serving long, playful tasting menus.
A Barceloneta institution dating from 1903, serving fish, shellfish and rice dishes in an old-fashioned dining room a few streets back from the beach.
Barceloneta's fishermen's quarter is full of rice restaurants, and Can Solé, open since 1903, is one of the most established. The dining room is unflashy, its walls hung with photographs, and the focus is on the market: fresh fish, shellfish and the rice dishes for which the neighbourhood is known.
Order a seafood paella or a black rice to share, and ask what fish has come in that day. It closes on Mondays and serves only lunch on Sundays, which is the most popular sitting with local families, so book ahead. It is a short walk from Barceloneta metro.
