Attraction

One of London's eight Royal Parks, with the Serpentine lake, Speakers' Corner and miles of paths between Mayfair and Kensington.
Good to know
Hyde Park is one of the great open spaces of central London, stretching from Marble Arch and Park Lane towards Kensington Gardens. The Serpentine lake runs through its centre, lined with paths, cafés and wildlife, and the Lido is home to Britain's oldest swimming club.
Walk from Speakers' Corner, the historic spot for open-air free speech, down to the Serpentine, then follow the water west. Rotten Row, the sandy track along the south side, was once a fashionable riding route. The rose garden near Hyde Park Corner is a quieter detour. Summer brings large concerts and winter the Winter Wonderland fair, both of which affect access to parts of the park. Marble Arch, Hyde Park Corner and Knightsbridge stations all sit on its edge.
