Bar
Drink Kong
A celebrated cocktail bar in Monti that features on the World's 50 Best Bars list, open nightly with creative drinks and a smart casual dress code.
Open since 1996 near the top of the Spanish Steps, Gregory's hosts live jazz every evening, with two sets drawn from the classic songbook.
Good to know
Gregory's has been a fixture of Rome's jazz scene since 1996. It programmes live music every evening, usually in two sets focusing on standards and arrangements from the great songbooks of the 1920s to the 1960s, alongside jam sessions, tribute nights and occasional concerts by international names. The upstairs music room is equipped with a Yamaha grand piano.
Unusually for a jazz club, the kitchen serves a Japanese menu, including fusion sushi tastings designed to go with wine or whisky. It is open seven days a week, and seats for the more popular nights can be reserved through the events section of the website. It makes an easy late-evening plan after dinner near the Spanish Steps or Via Veneto.
