Why we recommend it

Terrazza Borromini looks straight down on Piazza Navona, with Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers below and the dome of Sant'Agnese in Agone, Borromini's church, seemingly within reach. The venue works on two levels: a fourth-floor restaurant serving an à la carte Mediterranean menu built on seasonal Italian produce, and La Grande Bellezza on the rooftop above.

The rooftop opens from midday until late evening and suits everything from brunch to a sunset aperitivo or after-dinner drinks, with gourmet tapas, grilled dishes and sharing plates alongside original and classic cocktails. Sunset is the moment to aim for, and tables then are in demand, so reserve by phone or email beforehand. Enter from Via di Santa Maria dell'Anima, on the western side of the piazza.
