For a classic pisco sour, head to the English Bar at the Country Club Lima Hotel in San Isidro, a three-time winner of Lima's best bar award, or to Ayahuasca Restobar in Barranco, set in a 19th-century mansion and open until late. Bar Cordano, founded in 1905 opposite the Government Palace, and Antigua Taberna Queirolo in Pueblo Libre, whose story begins around 1880, are the places to drink pisco with a sense of history, and both serve traditional food. Barranco is the best district for a night out on foot; elsewhere, use registered taxis or ride-hailing apps to get back to your hotel.
