Runner Bean Tours
A family-run Barcelona walking tour company founded in 2010, best known for its donation-based Gothic Quarter and Gaudí tours starting from Plaça Reial.
A Barcelona bike tour company offering four-hour, off-the-beaten-track rides with local guides in groups of no more than eight, starting at Port Olímpic.
Good to know
Steel Donkey presents itself as an alternative to mainstream sightseeing, with local guides taking small groups away from the obvious stops to explore neighbourhoods by bike. Its signature open-group ride, the Off The Beaten Track tour, lasts around four hours and is capped at eight guests, so it feels more like riding with friends than following a flag.
Tours leave daily at 10am and 3pm, and private tours can be booked at a time of your choosing, with e-bikes also available. The bikes are simple three-speed Italian city bikes, so a moderate level of fitness is enough. Meet at Moll de Marina in the Olympic Port, and book in advance in busy months.
