Why we recommend it

Jamboree occupies a vaulted cellar beneath the arcades of Plaça Reial, and it has been one of the city's key venues for jazz for decades. Now part of the Grup Mas i Mas, it programmes jazz alongside blues, Americana, flamenco, Brazilian music, rock and pop across several rooms.

The usual pattern is a concert in the evening, then a switch to a club night later on, so you can make a whole night of it without moving. Check the online listings and buy tickets in advance for popular shows. Plaça Reial is a short walk from Liceu metro, with plenty of places for dinner first.
