Café
Sant’Eustachio Il Caffè
Founded in 1938 near the Pantheon, Sant'Eustachio roasts its beans over wood and is famous for its sweet, creamy Gran Caffè.
The Roscioli family's café and pasticceria on Piazza Cairoli serves coffee and pastries from early morning, a few minutes from Campo de' Fiori.
Good to know
Roscioli Caffè is the pastry and coffee arm of the Roscioli family's small food empire around Campo de' Fiori, alongside their bakery and Salumeria. It faces Piazza Benedetto Cairoli, a short walk from Largo di Torre Argentina, and works well as a breakfast stop before a day in the historic centre or the Ghetto.
The counter is stocked with pastries, best enjoyed with an espresso or cappuccino at the bar in the Roman way. There is also an indoor room that can be booked for small gatherings. It opens from 7:00 on weekdays and Saturdays and from 8:00 on Sundays, closing at 18:00, so it is a daytime place rather than an evening one. Mornings are busiest, so arrive early for the widest choice.
