Walks of Italy
A Rome-based tour company running small-group and private tours of the Vatican, the Colosseum and the city's underground sites.
Operating since 2007 near the Colosseum, Top Bike Rental & Tours runs guided bike and e-bike tours of Rome and the Appian Way.
Good to know
Top Bike Rental & Tours has operated from Via Labicana, a few minutes' walk from the Colosseum, since 2007, and keeps a fleet of more than 300 bikes across over 20 models, from city and road bikes to tandems and electric-assist mountain bikes. It is a practical way to cover more ground than on foot in a city of hills and long distances.
The guided programme includes a city highlights tour, a panoramic tour of hilltop viewpoints, a Rome by Night ride and a route along the Appian Way past the catacombs to the aqueducts park. Longer e-bike day trips head to Castel Gandolfo and its lake, or to Civita di Bagnoregio and Orvieto. Bikes can also be rented for self-guided exploring.
