Walks of Italy
A Rome-based tour company running small-group and private tours of the Vatican, the Colosseum and the city's underground sites.
Running food tours in Rome for more than 15 years, Eating Europe leads small groups through Testaccio, Trastevere, Monti and the Jewish Ghetto.
Good to know
Eating Europe has been running food walks in Rome for more than 15 years, and its Taste of Testaccio tour remains a signature, taking guests to seven stops in one of the city's most traditional food neighbourhoods. Other options include the Twilight Trastevere evening tour, a breakfast tour near the Colosseum in Monti, a route combining Trastevere with the Jewish Ghetto, and pasta-making classes.
Groups are kept small, typically capped at between seven and 12 guests, so the walks feel unobtrusive in residential streets. Come hungry, as tastings add up to a full meal, and mention dietary requirements when booking. Small-group tours can be cancelled for a refund up to 24 hours before departure, while private tours need seven days' notice.
