Good to know
Coupette is a neighbourhood cocktail bar on Bethnal Green Road with a strong French influence, particularly in its use of Calvados and other French spirits. It made its name quickly after opening, entering The World's 50 Best Bars as best new opening in 2018 and ranking again in 2019, and it has collected several other industry awards.
The bar is relaxed rather than formal, and drinks such as the Calvados-based Fizz Royale show its playful, technical approach. Tables can be booked online, which is wise for Friday and Saturday nights when it stays open until 01:00. It opens from late afternoon. Bethnal Green Underground station is a short walk, and Cambridge Heath Overground station is also close.
