The Connaught Bar, inside The Connaught hotel in Mayfair, was ranked number one in The World's 50 Best Bars in both 2020 and 2021. Its polished, Cubist-inspired room is a calm counterpoint to the theatre of the drinks.
The signature experience is the martini trolley, which is wheeled to your table so that a bartender can mix a martini to your taste at the table. Bookings can be made through the hotel's website. It is a small bar and gets busy in the evenings, so arrive early or late. Dress smartly. Bond Street and Green Park stations are each around ten minutes' walk.
