Restaurant
Turk Fatih Tutak
Chef Fatih Tutak's Bomonti tasting-menu restaurant, holding two Michelin stars and a Green Star, reworking Turkish culinary traditions with modern technique.
A historic restaurant founded in 1901 above the Spice Bazaar entrance, known for its blue-tiled rooms and classic Istanbul dishes, now a Michelin Bib Gourmand.
Good to know
Opened in 1901 by Pandeli Çobanoğlu, this restaurant sits within the Spice Bazaar building, in rooms clad in striking blue tiles. Over the decades its guests included Atatürk and Queen Elizabeth II, and after a period of closure it has reopened with a menu of classic Istanbul and Ottoman-era dishes. It appears in the 2026 Michelin guide as a Bib Gourmand.
It works best as a lunch stop while exploring Eminönü; reservation requests are accepted by the restaurant during the afternoon, and bookings are confirmed by email. The full menu is published on the website as a PDF. Find the stairs at the Balık Pazarı gate of the bazaar, and note it closes when the bazaar does on major holidays.
