Good to know
Hotel de Russie sits on Via del Babuino, moments from Piazza del Popolo, and is part of the Rocco Forte collection. Its best-known feature is the Secret Garden, a terraced Mediterranean garden of roses, orange trees and mature pines climbing towards the Pincio, with a small waterfall running between three nymphaeums. Interiors were shaped by Olga Polizzi, the group's director of design, including the Nijinsky Suite named after the dancer who stayed here.
Le Jardin restaurant serves Italian cooking on a terrace at the foot of the Pincio, while the Stravinskij Bar is a classic spot for cocktails and aperitivo. The Irene Forte Spa offers treatments after a day's sightseeing. Families are well catered for through the Rocco Forte Kids programme.
