Café
Nømad Coffee Lab
The original coffee bar of Nømad, the Barcelona speciality roaster founded by Jordi Mestre, tucked into a quiet passage near the Palau de la Música.
A historic café on La Rambla opposite the Liceu opera house, trading on this site since the 19th century and open from breakfast until late.
Before it became a café in 1929, this address on La Rambla was a chocolate shop and then, from 1831, a restaurant. Its old-fashioned interior recalls that long history, and its position facing the Gran Teatre del Liceu has made it a favourite with operagoers.
Come for a morning coffee and pastry, a hot chocolate in the afternoon or a drink late at night: the café opens every day from 8.30am until the early hours. The terrace on La Rambla is good for people-watching, while the tables inside are quieter and more atmospheric.
