1. IDAM by Alain Ducasse
Alain Ducasse's IDAM occupies the top floor of the Museum of Islamic Art, serving Michelin-starred contemporary French tasting menus with views across Doha Bay.
View details — IDAM by Alain DucasseDoha's restaurant scene has grown fast, and the city now has its own Michelin Guide. The three starred restaurants in the 2026 edition are IDAM by Alain Ducasse at the Museum of Islamic Art, Jamavar at the Sheraton Grand Doha and Alba at Raffles Doha, and several Bib Gourmand restaurants offer excellent cooking at more modest prices, including Jiwan at the National Museum of Qatar, Argan in Souq Waqif, Fenyal on Gewan Island and Isaan at the Grand Hyatt.
For local food, try Qatari classics such as majboos at Bayt Sharq, Yemeni stews eaten with flatbread at Bandar Aden in Souq Waqif, or the palatial setting of Yasmine Palace on The Pearl. Restaurants outside licensed hotels do not serve alcohol, and some hotel venues are alcohol-free too, so check if that matters to you. Book ahead for weekend evenings, which fall on Thursday and Friday nights, and expect many places to change their hours during Ramadan.
