Good to know
Thames Rockets runs high-speed rigid inflatable boat rides from the London Eye Pier, combining sightseeing commentary with bursts of speed on the faster stretches of the river. The Ultimate London Adventure is the core trip, lasting about an hour past central London's riverside landmarks, while the longer Thames Barrier Voyage heads further downstream.
Boats carry a maximum of 12 passengers, so book ahead, especially at weekends, and arrive at least 15 minutes before departure at Boarding Gate One. Expect spray and wind: bring a layer even in summer. Children aged 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. The ride is not suitable during pregnancy or for anyone with neck or back problems, and wheelchairs cannot be taken on board. Waterloo and Westminster stations are a short walk away.
