Why we recommend it

Guy Savoy's flagship occupies a suite of salons inside the Monnaie de Paris, the historic mint on Quai de Conti, with windows overlooking the Seine. The cooking is haute cuisine of the most polished kind, and the artichoke soup with black truffle has long featured prominently on the menus.

The restaurant opens Wednesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner. Lunch is the classic way to see the dining rooms in daylight. Book well in advance by phone, email or online, and allow plenty of time, as tasting menus here are leisurely affairs.
