Hotel
The Plaza
Opened in 1907 at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Central Park South, the Fairmont-managed Plaza is one of New York's most storied grand hotels.
A Williamsburg boutique hotel inside a brick industrial building dating from 1901, with the Le Crocodile brasserie and skyline-facing Bar Blondeau.
Good to know
The Wythe Hotel occupies a brick building on the Williamsburg waterfront whose walls have stood since 1901, and the conversion keeps its industrial character, with exposed brick, timber and big windows. It helped put Williamsburg on the map as a place to stay rather than just visit for the evening.
Le Crocodile, on the ground floor, is an all-day French brasserie that works well for breakfast or a long dinner, and Bar Blondeau pairs Manhattan skyline views with spirits from the five boroughs and New York State. The Bedford Avenue subway station and the East River ferry landing at North Williamsburg are within walking distance.
