Best Things to do in Las Vegas (2026)

Many of the best things to do in Las Vegas involve looking at the city from a different angle. The High Roller observation wheel at The LINQ takes about 30 minutes to complete a rotation, and The STRAT SkyPod offers the highest views in the city from its observation decks, with thrill rides for anyone who wants more adrenaline. Both are at their best around sunset, when the lights come on along the Strip.

Shows are part of the Las Vegas experience, and "O" by Cirque du Soleil at Bellagio has been running since 1998; book ahead, especially at weekends. For a change of pace, spend an afternoon and evening in the 18b Las Vegas Arts District, browsing galleries and antique shops before dinner and drinks, and check whether the monthly First Friday event has resumed before planning around it. If you have a car, drive south to Seven Magic Mountains, Ugo Rondinone's fluorescent boulder towers in the desert, ideally early or late in the day for the light. Combining one viewpoint, one show and one neighbourhood outing gives a good balance over a short stay.
