Why we recommend it

Generator Paris is a large, design-conscious hostel at Place du Colonel Fabien, between Canal Saint-Martin and Belleville. It offers dorms from four to ten beds, including female-only dorms, plus a range of private rooms, some with Paris views and one type with its own terrace.

Café Fabien on the ground floor serves breakfast and stays open late, and from April to September the Khayma Rooftop on the ninth floor opens in the evenings. Colonel Fabien Métro station on line 2 is right outside. It is a sociable choice for younger travellers and groups who want low prices without sacrificing style.
