Café
The Authors’ Lounge
A white-wicker tea lounge in the original wing of the Mandarin Oriental, serving traditional afternoon tea beneath portraits of the writers who stayed there.
A small specialty coffee bar on the ground floor of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, focused on hand drip and cold brew using Thai beans.
Tucked into the ground floor of the BACC, Gallery Drip Coffee is a compact counter where baristas brew coffee by hand, pouring through drippers with careful attention. The team includes a national brewers' competition champion, and the focus is firmly on local Thai beans.
Order a hand-drip coffee and ask for a recommendation on the day's beans, or try a cold brew on a hot afternoon. The shop also sells beans to take home. It makes an ideal pause before or after browsing the exhibitions upstairs, and BTS National Stadium is connected to the building. Like the art centre itself, it is closed on Mondays.
