Best Nightlife in Taipei (2026)

Taipei has become a serious cocktail city. Four of its bars made the 2026 Asia's 50 Best Bars rankings: To Infinity and Beyond, a space-themed bar on Lane 160 off Dunhua South Road, was the highest at No. 35; Bar Mood, on the same lane, builds its drinks around Taiwanese botanicals; The Public House on Xinyi Road gives the British pub a cocktail makeover and stays open until the early hours; and Lab on Ren'ai Road serves minimalist, often colourless drinks from a scientist-bartender. All four are in Da'an, so a bar crawl is easy by short taxi rides.

For live music, Legacy Taipei is a 1,000-capacity hall in a former liquor production building inside Huashan 1914 Creative Park, hosting pop, rock, hip-hop and electronic acts, while The Wall Live House in Gongguan has championed emerging Taiwanese bands in its basement since 2003. Cocktails at the top bars are priced at premium levels, many bars publish their hours mainly on social media, and weekends fill quickly, so check before you go and arrive early. Taxis are plentiful and the easiest way home after the MRT stops running around midnight.
