Wynn Las Vegas
Luxury resort on the North Strip with Wynn and Encore towers, a Forbes Five-Star spa, the only golf course on the Strip and a wide choice…
All-suite resort on the Strip inspired by Venice, with large suites with sunken living rooms, gondola rides on an indoor Grand Canal and direct access to Sphere.
Good to know
The Venetian Resort is one of the biggest and most theatrical hotels on the Strip. It opened in May 1999 on the site of the former Sands Hotel and was joined by its sister tower, The Palazzo, in 2007. Together they have about 7,100 rooms, and the resort's motto, all suites and all luxury, sums up its main selling point: every room is a suite.
The suites are among the largest standard rooms on the Strip and feature sunken living rooms, and the resort says they are nearly double the size of the average Las Vegas hotel room. That extra space makes a real difference for families and groups, who can spread out rather than squeezing into a standard double. The Venetian tower reimagines an Italian piazza, while The Palazzo is styled as a palace of Italian indulgence.
The setting is pure Venice by way of Las Vegas. The entrance is modelled on the Doge's Palace, with recreations of the Rialto Bridge and a 315-foot replica of St Mark's Campanile. Inside, a version of the Grand Canal runs through the Grand Canal Shoppes, and gondola rides glide beneath bridges and balconies for a fee. The resort's spa is Canyon Ranch Spa and Fitness, and dining ranges from Bouchon to the Via Via Food Hall. The resort has its own pools, and it offers direct access to Sphere next door.
The Venetian suits families, groups and anyone who values space, as well as couples who enjoy the spectacle. It is a big, busy resort, so expect long walks between the tower, the casino, the shops and the restaurants, and allow extra time when heading out to a show or a reservation. Prices are towards the top of the range, though the size of the suites makes it good value for families sharing.
For a first visit, it is worth taking an hour to wander the indoor canals and St Mark's Square in the Grand Canal Shoppes even if you are not staying here.
The resort is on the Center Strip next to Sphere, which is linked by a pedestrian bridge to the Venetian Expo. Wynn is a short walk to the north, and the High Roller is a short walk to the south. Taxis and ride-shares drop off at the resort's entrances.
