The Venetian Resort Las Vegas
All-suite resort on the Strip inspired by Venice, with large suites with sunken living rooms, gondola rides on an indoor Grand Canal and direct access to…
Luxury resort on the North Strip with Wynn and Encore towers, a Forbes Five-Star spa, the only golf course on the Strip and a wide choice of acclaimed restaurants.
Good to know
Wynn Las Vegas is one of the most polished luxury resorts on the Strip, and unlike many of its neighbours it was built without a theme when it opened in April 2005. Its sister tower, Encore, followed in December 2008, and together they form a large complex with almost 4,750 rooms and suites. The main tower rises 613 feet and was the tallest building in Nevada when it was completed. Wynn describes the property as a Forbes Five-Star luxury hotel and casino.
The resort was designed to turn inwards, away from the noise of the boulevard. An artificial mountain more than 100 feet tall screens the grounds from the street, and behind it, the Lake of Dreams stages an evening show on a three-acre lake, with a giant head that rises from the water and music from a hundred speakers. Wynn Golf Club, redesigned with Tom Fazio and reopened in 2019, is the only golf course on the Strip, and its Cliff House Grill overlooks the fairways.
Dining is one of the resort's strengths. Restaurants include Casa Playa, which has a James Beard Award, as well as Sartiano's, Mizumi, PISCES, Tableau and Red 8. Wing Lei was the first Chinese restaurant in the United States to earn a Michelin star. The Spa at Wynn Las Vegas is rated Five-Star by Forbes Travel Guide, and the Encore Theater hosts comedy and music, with recent billings including Bryan Adams, Lionel Richie and Jim Gaffigan.
Wynn suits couples, golfers, food lovers and anyone who wants a refined base with plenty to do without leaving the property. It is at the top of the price scale, and dining, spa treatments and golf all add up, so it works best for a special trip. The casino floor is large, so allow time to walk between the towers, the restaurants and the lobby. Booking directly gives access to the resort's own offers.
The resort is on the North Strip, a short walk north of The Venetian and Sphere. The Center Strip resorts and the High Roller are within walking distance, and taxis and ride-shares leave from the main entrance. Downtown and the Arts District are a short drive north, making Wynn a good base for exploring both ends of the city.
Wynn describes itself as a Forbes Five-Star luxury hotel and casino, and its spa is a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star spa.
