Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca
An oceanfront luxury hotel on the Corniche, opened in 2015 in a Foster + Partners building, with 184 rooms and suites, a year-round pool and a…
The city's palace hotel, in a 1950s Art Deco landmark near the port, with 149 rooms and suites, five restaurants and bars and a two-floor spa.
Good to know
The Royal Mansour Casablanca is the city's most prestigious address. The hotel occupies a 1950s Art Deco landmark near the port and the city centre, designed by Emile Duhon, which has been a hotel since 1953. Reborn as part of the Royal Mansour collection, it is now a full destination in its own right, with rooms, restaurants, a spa and event spaces in a vertical, urban setting near the medina and the ocean.
There are 149 keys: 93 guest rooms, 39 suites, 13 Signature suites and four exceptional suites. From the upper floors, including the 23rd-floor restaurant, there are views over the medina to the ocean and the Hassan II Mosque. The spa offers 2,510 square metres of wellness space over two floors, including a traditional hammam, a fitness area and treatment rooms, and the hotel also has a men's grooming salon, Le Salon Barbier, on the 20th floor.
Dining is a major attraction even for non-residents. La Grande Table Marocaine, on the 23rd floor, serves refined Moroccan cuisine with panoramic views; La Brasserie focuses on French cooking; Le Sushi Bar offers Japanese dishes; and Le Rooftop and The Bar provide settings for drinks from early evening onwards. With so many options under one roof, it is easy to spend a whole evening without leaving the building.
The hotel suits luxury travellers, couples on special occasions and business guests who want the best address in the centre. Its position on Avenue des Forces Armées Royales puts the old medina, the port, Boulevard Mohammed V and the Art Deco streets within walking distance or a short taxi ride. It is at the very top of the city's price range, and booking well ahead is advisable for suites and for the restaurants at weekends. If you are not staying, a drink at Le Rooftop or The Bar is a more affordable way to see the building.
Casa Port station is within easy reach, which makes the hotel practical for train day trips. Combine a stay here with a morning tour of the Hassan II Mosque, an afternoon in the medina and dinner at La Grande Table Marocaine, where you can look out over everything you have seen during the day.
