Hotel
Royal Mansour Casablanca
The city's palace hotel, in a 1950s Art Deco landmark near the port, with 149 rooms and suites, five restaurants and bars and a two-floor spa.
An oceanfront luxury hotel on the Corniche, opened in 2015 in a Foster + Partners building, with 184 rooms and suites, a year-round pool and a spa.
Good to know
The Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca brought a new kind of resort-style luxury to the city when it opened in November 2015. It stands on the oceanfront at Anfa Place, on the Boulevard de la Corniche, so it combines a seaside setting with easy access to the business district and the main sights. The building was designed by Foster + Partners, with interiors by GA Design, and its U-shaped plan wraps around a landscaped pool area that faces the Atlantic.
There are 184 rooms in total, including 155 guest rooms and 29 suites. The outdoor main pool is open all year, and the hotel's spa covers 700 square metres, with ten treatment rooms including two couples suites, a steam room and two balneo pools. Treatments use the Sodashi and Maison d'Asa product lines, and the spa also offers treatments for children and teenagers, which is unusual among the city's hotels.
Dining is varied. Bleu is the setting for breakfast, Kyúb serves coastal and Latin American-inspired cuisine, and the Mint lounge offers Moroccan specialities and lighter dishes throughout the day. Because the hotel is on the seafront, an evening walk along the Corniche is right on your doorstep, and the bars and restaurants of Ain Diab are a short taxi ride away.
The hotel suits couples, families and business travellers who want a resort feel without leaving the city. Families in particular benefit from the year-round pool and the children's spa treatments, while business travellers will appreciate the short drive to the business district. It is one of the most expensive places to stay in Casablanca, and rooms with an ocean view are worth requesting when you book.
The Hassan II Mosque is a few minutes away by taxi, and the hotel's location makes it easy to combine sightseeing in the morning with time by the pool in the afternoon. The Habous quarter and the city's museums can be reached within half an hour, depending on traffic, and the Morocco Mall lies further west along the coast. Mohammed V International Airport is a drive of roughly 40 minutes to an hour, so arrange a transfer with the hotel in advance.
