Why we recommend it

Hotel Amira is a 34-room boutique hotel in Küçük Ayasofya, the quieter southern slope of Sultanahmet, within walking distance of Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and, a little further, the Grand Bazaar. The hotel describes itself as award-winning, and its concierge can be reached by WhatsApp before and during a stay.

In the warmer months the multi-level Amiralto Roof Bar and Restaurant opens on top of the building, serving local dishes, cocktails and wine with views over the Sea of Marmara and the domes of Sultanahmet. Note that the rooftop closes for winter, from late October to late April.
