Good to know
Glitch Coffee & Roasters is a specialty roaster in Jimbocho, the book-shop district of Kanda, and it has become a pilgrimage stop for coffee enthusiasts visiting Tokyo. The approach is light roasting of single-origin beans, with the aim of letting each farm and region taste distinct, and staff will walk you through the current selection and suggest a brew method to suit what you like.
Expect bright, fruit-forward cups rather than dark, bitter espresso. The café opens 8:00 to 19:00 on weekdays and 9:00 to 19:00 at weekends, with no regular closing days, and bags of beans are sold to take home. It is small, so mid-morning and lunchtime can be busy. Jimbocho and Takebashi stations are both within a short walk, and it pairs well with an afternoon browsing Jimbocho's second-hand book shops.
