Bar
The Bamboo Bar
Bangkok's first jazz venue, opened in 1947 inside the Mandarin Oriental, with nightly live bands and inventive cocktails in a 1950s setting.
An open-air bar on the 64th floor of State Tower, famed for its glowing circular bar and sweeping views over the Chao Phraya and the city skyline.
Good to know
Sky Bar sits at the edge of the golden-domed State Tower, 64 floors above Silom, where a circular bar glows in changing colours against the night sky. It became internationally famous after featuring in the film The Hangover Part II, and the views over the bend of the Chao Phraya remain spectacular.
Drinks prices reflect the setting, so think of it as a one-cocktail experience timed for sunset rather than a long night out. Dress smartly, check the venue policies on the lebua website before you go, and expect queues for the lift at busy times. It is a short walk from BTS Saphan Taksin, and the lebua team can be contacted for reservations at the dining venues on the same floor.
