Why we recommend it

Le Meurice has faced the Tuileries Garden from Rue de Rivoli since 1815, and its recently restored rooms and suites draw on the hotel's surrealist artistic heritage, which also inspired the Le Dalí restaurant. Dining is a major draw: Restaurant le Meurice Alain Ducasse holds a Michelin star, while Le Dalí, designed by Philippe Starck, serves seasonal French dishes.

Bar 228 has live jazz in the evenings, and Cédric Grolet's pastry boutique, known for trompe-l'oeil fruit creations, attracts queues of its own. The Louvre is about five minutes on foot. Small dogs are welcome for a daily fee, and the hotel offers flexible early check-in and late check-out.
