View details — Pergamino Café LaurelesColombia grows some of the world's best-known coffee, and Medellín's cafés make the most of it. Three Medellín cafés made the South America's 100 Best Coffee Shops list in 2026, and two of them are in Laureles: Pergamino's café in a traditional house, which works with more than 1,500 partner growers, and Rituales, a woman-led roastery that buys from growers in the La Sierra neighbourhood. They are close enough to visit on the same morning.
In El Poblado, Vía Primavera has Pergamino's original branch and Café Velvet, a Belgian-Colombian roaster, facing each other. Hija Mía Coffee Roasters in Manila brought a New Zealand-style flat white to the city and opens every day from 7:00 to 21:00, and Urbania on Calle 8 buys coffee from conflict-affected communities at above-market prices. For something sweeter, Repostería Astor on the Junín passage has been making its frog-shaped sapitos and almond alfajores since 1930. Many cafés sell beans and run workshops, so they are a good source of coffee to take home, and Pergamino has two stores at the airport for last-minute purchases.
