Café
Arabian Tea House
A courtyard café in the Al Fahidi heritage quarter serving Emirati breakfasts, karak tea and traditional sweets under a large central tree.
One of Dubai's pioneering speciality coffee roasters, founded in 2007, with a warehouse café in Al Quoz serving its own ethically sourced roasts.
Good to know
Founded in 2007, RAW was one of the first speciality coffee roasters in the UAE and helped shape the city's third-wave coffee scene. Beans are sourced directly from growers with an emphasis on ethical trade and roasted on site at the company's warehouse in Al Quoz, where the café sits alongside the roastery.
Order a filter or espresso made with the current single origin and ask the baristas what is roasting that week; the café also sells beans, brewing equipment and runs training courses for anyone keen to improve at home. It pairs well with a visit to the galleries of nearby Alserkal Avenue. The café is open daily from early morning until 6pm, so it suits a morning or lunchtime stop rather than an evening visit.
