Riva Surya puts guests right on the river in the old city, on a stretch of Phra Athit Road lined with cafés and bars. With 68 rooms, it feels more personal than the big riverside towers that line the river further south.
The riverside pool and terrace are the highlights, ideal for watching longtail boats and ferries pass. The location is excellent for sightseeing: the Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Khao San Road are all close, and the Phra Arthit express boat pier is next door.
