Best Restaurants in Manila (2026)

Manila's restaurant scene gained international attention when the first Michelin Guide to Manila and its surroundings was published in October 2025. Helm, Josh Boutwood's counter restaurant at Ayala Triangle Gardens, received two stars, and Toyo Eatery, Hapag and Gallery by Chele each received one, all serving tasting menus built on Filipino ingredients. These restaurants need booking well in advance, and they are concentrated in Makati and Bonifacio Global City.

You do not need a tasting menu to eat well. Bib Gourmand restaurants such as Sarsa in Legazpi Village, Manam at the Triangle and Lampara in Poblacion serve generous Filipino dishes at moderate prices, and Your Local adds a modern Asian alternative. In the city of Manila itself, Cabel in a 1930s house in San Miguel cooks regional dishes with a focus on Mindanao. Filipino meals are designed for sharing, so order several dishes for the table with rice. Weekday lunchtimes are busy in the business districts, and many of the best restaurants close on Mondays, so check opening days before you set out.
