Aer

Good to know
Eau Bar is the cocktail bar of The Oberoi, Mumbai, the luxury hotel at Nariman Point at the southern end of Marine Drive. It has Art Deco interiors, an outdoor deck with views over the Arabian Sea and a private lounge, and it is one of the most polished places in South Mumbai for an evening drink. The hotel itself was ranked first among city hotels in India in the Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards in 2026.
The bar opens from 17:00 until 01:30, which makes it equally suitable for a sunset drink and a nightcap after dinner. The deck is the place to be early in the evening, when you can watch the sun go down over the sea, while the indoor room is cosier later on. The menu centres on signature cocktails, and the hotel's other outlets, including The Champagne Lounge and the Cigar Lounge, offer further options if you want to continue the evening without leaving the building.
Eau Bar suits couples, business travellers and anyone who wants a refined, quieter alternative to the busier bars of the mill district and Bandra. It is a good place to start an evening before dinner at Ziya, the hotel's modern Indian restaurant, where the menu is created by the Michelin-starred mentor chef Vineet Bhatia and which also has ocean views. Ziya opens for lunch from 12:30 to 14:45 and for dinner from 19:00 to 23:00.
Expect prices in line with Mumbai's luxury hotels, and dress smartly, as this is a five-star hotel bar. If you have your heart set on the deck at sunset, particularly at a weekend, contact the hotel in advance. Allow an hour or two. If you want a quieter drink, early evening on a weekday is usually the calmest time. The hotel's reservations team can be contacted by email if the phone lines are busy.
Nariman Point is at the southern end of Marine Drive, so Eau Bar works perfectly after an evening walk along the promenade from Girgaum Chowpatty. The Gateway of India and Colaba are a short taxi ride to the south. Taxis wait outside the hotel and are the easiest way to move on afterwards.
