The sky bar on the 28th floor of the Kenzi Tower Hotel in the Twin Center, with 360-degree views across Casablanca.
Good to know
The sky bar at the Kenzi Tower Hotel offers one of the widest views in Casablanca. It is on the 28th floor of one of the Twin Center towers, the pair of skyscrapers on Boulevard Zerktouni designed by the architect Ricardo Bofill, and from up here the city spreads out in every direction. The 360-degree outlook takes in the whole city, which gives a real sense of its size.
The bar is part of the five-star Kenzi Tower Hotel, which also has two restaurants and a lobby bar. As a hotel bar, it is a place for a drink and conversation rather than a club. The main reason to come is the view, so time your visit for sunset, when the light falls across the city, or later in the evening when Casablanca's lights stretch towards the horizon.
Because it is in a hotel, it is open to non-residents, and the setting is relaxed but smart. Dress neatly, as you would for any upmarket hotel bar, and expect prices in line with five-star hotels. If you want a table by the windows, arrive early, especially at weekends, and check with the hotel in advance if you are planning a visit on a public holiday or during Ramadan, when bar opening can change.
The sky bar suits couples, business travellers unwinding after meetings and visitors who want to see the city from above on their first evening. It is a useful option if you are staying in the centre and do not want a long taxi ride to the Corniche. If you are staying at the hotel, it is also a convenient final stop after dinner elsewhere, since you only need to take the lift back down to your room at the end of the night. Bring a light jacket in winter, as evenings in Casablanca can feel cool once the sun has gone down.
The Twin Center is in the Maârif area, a short taxi ride from Mohammed V Square, Parc de la Ligue Arabe and the Corniche. Combine a drink here with dinner in the Gauthier district, at a restaurant such as Iloli, or with an evening stroll through the shopping streets of Maârif. Petits taxis are easy to find on Boulevard Zerktouni for the journey back to your hotel.
