Why we recommend it

Babylon opened in Asmalımescit in 1999 and became the city's best-known stage for live music before moving in 2015 to Yapı Kredi bomontiada, a cultural complex in the converted Bomonti beer factory. The programme ranges widely across jazz, rock, electronic and world music, mixing Turkish acts with international artists, and the venue draws tens of thousands of visitors a year.

It also runs Babylon Soundgarden, a summer festival. Tickets for popular concerts sell out, so check the website and book in advance. Bomontiada has restaurants and bars in the same courtyard for a drink before the show, and it is a short taxi ride or walk from Osmanbey metro station.
