Café
Glitch Coffee & Roasters
A Jimbocho roastery-café serving light-roasted, single-origin specialty coffee designed to bring out the character of each origin.
An Omotesando coffee bean shop where baristas guide customers through a curated menu of beans from roasters in Japan and abroad.
Good to know
Koffee Mameya is less a conventional café than a specialist coffee shop: you stand at the counter while a barista talks you through a menu of beans from a rotating group of roasters, discusses how you like your coffee and then helps you choose beans to suit your taste. The space is pared back and precise, putting all the attention on the beans and the conversation.
There is little or no seating, so think of it as a tasting stop and a place to buy beans rather than somewhere to settle in with a laptop. Ask for brewing advice for your own set-up at home; the staff are happy to recommend grind size and recipes. It sits on a side street in the Omotesando and Jingumae area, an easy detour from the shopping streets nearby.
