How To Stay Focused In Your Workplace
I’ll be honest, concentrating at work can be so hard, especially when your office bestie has a new gist on the block, or the pink shoes or gaming pad you’ve been thinking about is sitting pretty in the next google search. Being focused in your place of work is actually harder than it actually looks, and here are some tips on how to stay focused in your workplace.
Plan your day
The best way to start and have a productive day is to plan your day. What would you want to achieve during the day? When do you want to achieve these tasks, and how do you want to achieve them? These are necessary questions to ask yourself while creating a plan for your day, they would help you to have a clear path to follow during the day.
Create a time for rest
All work and no rest makes Jack a frustrated worker. Yes, I said that. As much as you want to be a good worker and work all hours, taking breaks makes you more productive in the workplace. Take a few minutes to stretch your legs, snack on something, and chatter a bit, then get back to work.
Turn off notifications and block distracting websites
Yes, those shoes and gamepads are really tempting, but they can wait till after work, so can all other non-important notifications. Putting all these aside would help you give a 100% concentration on the task you have at hand, and ensure you stick to the plan you have created.

Get a comfortable chair
Chances are, with an uncomfortable chair, you’ll get easily tired and irritable, and develop backaches to fight over the night. A comfortable chair allows you to work with ease and protects your back from aches. This can improve your focus (fewer breaks to stretch your back) and productivity in general.
Be accountable
There’s nothing that drives focus and productivity more than accountability. Ensure you set deadlines for yourself, if not given any by your immediate superior, or if you have none. These days, ensure you at least, give a report on your progress with whatsoever project it is that you’re working on. Having this goal in mind would help you to achieve more in your place of work.
