Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, and dancehall artist, Runtown have joined the outcry for an end to police brutality and senseless killings.
The protest started on Wednesday, Oct 7 2020 at the Ikeja underbridge. Youths were gathered there displaying placards and sharing videos and photos. The photos and videos were tagged #LagosProtests, and went viral very quickly.
The #EndSARS protest will last for three days. On Thursday, day two, the youths besieged the Police Headquarters in Ikeja, while others marched to Lekki toll gate.

Other celebrities who joined in the physical march include Tiwa Savage, paul of PSquare, Jaywon, Dremo, This Is Wurld, and DJ Spinall. Some stars of the biggest reality tv show in Nigeria, Big Brother Naija were also present. They included Elozonam Ogbolu, Ahneeka, Soma, Tacha, Anto Lecky, and Prince Enwerem. Popular skit comedian, Mr Macaroni was also present at the protest.

Meanwhile, similar #EndSARS protests have been holding across the country in places like Benin, Abuja, and Imo. In Abuja, protesters sat along the Shehu Shagari way, blocking the roads and paralyzing vehicular traffic. On the roads of Benin, it was the same story with motorists stuck in serious traffic jams for hours while the protests went on.

Small Doctor took to his social media page to call for another protest, especially for people living in Agege and its environs.
The singer of the hit song ‘Penalty’ said
“People will not stop protesting until their voices are heard and police brutality ends“.
Small Doctor is calling for a peaceful protest after the huge one that was held on October 8, 2020. He announced that the take-off point would be Pen cinema, Agege. He also urged protesters to please wear their face masks.
