Bar
Bar La Providencia
A neighbourhood cocktail bar in Las Condes recognised by The World's 50 Best Discovery, with velvet and William Morris interiors, a terrace and a deep-fried burger.
A cocktail bar devoted to the Negroni, listed on The World's 50 Best Bars extended list three years running, now at Terrazas San Cristóbal in Bellavista.
Good to know
Siete Negronis is an internationally recognised cocktail bar, and as the name suggests, it is built around one drink. The bar's own motto is that the Negroni is its world, and its menu is presented as an ode to the classic, which was created in Florence in 1919. It has featured on The World's 50 Best Bars extended list for three consecutive years.
The bar has been operating since 2016. It began in Barrio Bellavista, later moved to Alonso de Córdova in Vitacura, and its website now lists its location at Terrazas San Cristóbal, the culinary boulevard announced in August 2025 on the slopes of Cerro San Cristóbal in Bellavista. Terrazas San Cristóbal brings together eleven bars and restaurants close to La Chascona and Teatro Mori, so it is easy to make an evening of the area.
The drinks list starts with the house speciality: seven variations on the Negroni, built on the bitter, botanical base of the original, which makes a tasting flight the obvious order if you are curious. Beyond the Negronis, the bar has been known for drinks such as the Speyside Highball, the Santiago Sour and the Apple Fashioned, and it serves food to go with them. The bar still uses a paper menu, and its Instagram account shows the dishes.
Opening hours are generous: from 12:00 to 00:30 from Sunday to Tuesday, until 01:30 on Wednesday and until 03:30 from Thursday to Saturday. That means you can come for an early-evening drink after visiting La Chascona or the funicular, or late at night. Reservations can be made online through the website, which is sensible at weekends.
Negronis are bitter, spirit-forward drinks, so pace yourself if you are trying several, and eat something alongside them. The bar suits cocktail enthusiasts, couples and small groups, and it is a good place to see what Santiago's cocktail scene is doing.
Bellavista is reached from Baquedano metro station, where Lines 1 and 5 meet, by crossing the Mapocho on the Pío Nono bridge and walking north. At night many visitors use a taxi or ride-hailing app to return to their hotel. Combine a visit with dinner at Peumayén Ancestral Food or another restaurant on Constitución, or with live music in the neighbourhood.
