The Crocodile
First opened in 1991, The Crocodile is Belltown's independent live music venue, now on First Avenue with a 750-capacity showroom, smaller rooms and hotel rooms upstairs.
Family owned and operated since 1980, Dimitriou's Jazz Alley is a Seattle jazz supper club hosting touring artists, with its own dining menu.
Good to know
Dimitriou's Jazz Alley has been bringing jazz to Seattle for more than four decades, and it has been family owned and operated since 1980. It is a supper club on 6th Avenue, on the edge of Belltown and downtown, where you can have dinner while watching some of the best-known names in jazz, soul, blues and Latin music. Seattle Magazine voted it the city's Best Live Music Venue in 2025.
The room is arranged so that every seat is within 50 feet of the stage, which gives even large shows an intimate feel. Artists usually play runs of several nights rather than single dates. The programme for late 2026 shows the range: the trumpeter Arturo Sandoval, saxophonist Kenny Garrett, The Four Tops, The Spinners, Taj Mahal, the Blind Boys of Alabama with a Christmas show, and a long holiday residency by Kenny G at the end of December. Check the website for the full calendar and set times.
Food is part of the experience, and the club has its own menu, so you can make an evening of dinner and a show. Book tickets in advance through the website, especially for well-known artists and weekend nights, as shows often sell out. Arrive early if you plan to eat, so you can order and settle before the music starts. Read the club's ticket policy before booking, as it covers seating and refunds.
Jazz Alley suits couples, music lovers and groups celebrating a special occasion. It is a good choice for a grown-up night out. Allow a full evening for dinner and the show.
For parking, the club lists Amazon's Doppler Garage on 6th Avenue between Virginia and Lenora Streets, where no validation is required, and the Digital Realty Garage at 2010 5th Avenue, where validation is required. The club is also within walking distance of many downtown hotels, and the Westlake transit hub is a few blocks away.
After the show, Belltown's bars are a short walk west, and The Crocodile on First Avenue is nearby if you want to continue with more live music. Questions about bookings can be emailed to the club.
