Why we recommend it

Bebop Club is one of the main addresses for live jazz in Buenos Aires. It was founded in 2014 in a basement in Monserrat, two blocks from Plaza de Mayo, and after that space closed during the 2020 pandemic it reopened in Palermo Soho at Uriarte 1658. The new venue holds up to 180 people per event and aims for a relaxed, intimate atmosphere with a neighbourhood feel.

Jazz is the heart of the programme, but the club also books blues, funk, soul and pop, with Argentine and international artists. There are usually two shows a day, with most starting at 20:00 and 22:30, and occasional earlier sessions. The autumn 2026 programme gives a flavour of the range: the Bebop Big Band on Mondays in October, tribute nights, Kenny Garrett with Sounds from the Ancestors from 14 to 16 November, the Dara Starr Tucker Sextet on 19 and 20 November, and the James Carter Quintet on 17 and 18 December 2026.

Food and drink are taken seriously. The wine list was selected by the well-known Argentine sommelier Aldo Graziani, the kitchen is run under the Aldo's name, and there is a list of signature cocktails, so you can make a full evening of dinner and music. The menu is available on the website.

Tickets are sold online through the links on the club's website, so book early if there is a specific artist you want to hear. Choose the earlier show if you want to combine music with a later dinner elsewhere, or the later show for a classic night out. Arrive in good time to order food before the music starts.

The club suits music lovers, couples and small groups, and it is a good alternative to a tango show for visitors who want to hear the city's musicians in a different setting. With a capacity of 180, it stays intimate even on busy nights.

Bebop Club is at Uriarte 1658, in Palermo Soho, so it is easy to combine with dinner at El Preferido de Palermo on Jorge Luis Borges or with cocktails at Tres Monos on Guatemala, both also in Palermo.
