Good to know
Bar Trigona, inside the Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur on Jalan Ampang, is one of the most decorated cocktail bars in Malaysia. It ranked number 38 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2026, and the hotel describes it as the country's longest-serving bar on the list, having appeared every year since 2019. In 2020 it became the first Malaysian bar to make the global World's 50 Best Bars list, at number 44, and in 2022 it won the Siete Misterios Best Cocktail Menu Award.
The bar's identity is built around local produce. Its cocktails use fruits, herbs and spices sourced from Malaysian farmers and artisan producers, and its signature ingredient is trigona honey, made by the small stingless bees that give the bar its name. Some of the ingredients come from the hotel's own Trigona Farm. The team also works to keep waste low, reusing ingredients and favouring sustainable practices, which has become a hallmark of the programme.
The current menu, called Nectar of Time, is designed as a progression through the evening, from light, palate-awakening drinks to deeper and more layered cocktails, so it rewards ordering two or three over a long night. If you are unsure where to start, tell the bartenders which flavours and spirits you like, and they will guide you. The programme is overseen by the hotel's beverage manager, Alexandre Renoue.
As a luxury hotel bar, prices are at the upper end for the city, and smart casual dress is expected. It suits couples, cocktail enthusiasts and anyone celebrating a special occasion, and it is a good choice for a sophisticated drink before or after dinner in the KLCC area. Booking ahead is wise on Friday and Saturday evenings, when the bar is at its busiest. Contact the hotel for current opening hours and reservations.
The Four Seasons is a short walk from the Petronas Twin Towers, Suria KLCC and KLCC Park, and KLCC station on the LRT is the nearest rail stop. Yun House, the hotel's Cantonese restaurant, is a convenient choice for dinner beforehand, and the bars of Bukit Bintang are a short taxi ride away for a later night.
