Hotel
Aman Tokyo
A serene luxury hotel on the top floors of Otemachi Tower, pairing minimalist Japanese design with a spa, 30-metre pool and city views.
A design-led boutique hotel on Cat Street between Shibuya and Harajuku, built around a sociable lounge bar and two restaurants.
Good to know
TRUNK(HOTEL) sits on Cat Street, the pedestrian lane of independent shops linking Shibuya and Harajuku, and it was conceived around the idea of "socialising": a hotel where locals and guests mix rather than a sealed-off retreat. Its lobby lounge and bar are designed as a third place for the neighbourhood, so the ground floor buzzes from morning to late evening.
Dining is a strength. TRUNK(KITCHEN) serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with an emphasis on seafood at night, while TRUNK(KUSHI) focuses on grilled skewers. Rooms are pricier than standard mid-range options, reflecting the design and location. Shibuya and Meiji-jingumae stations are both walkable, and Omotesando, Harajuku and Yoyogi Park are on the doorstep, which makes it ideal for shopping, cafés and nightlife.
