Mavins artiste and Don Jazzy protégé, Rema, set Twitter on fire on Monday. Sources allege that this ranting was caused by the disrespect that Rema felt at the grand finale of the BBN on Sunday. Taking to social media, Rema set twitter on fire by unleashing a tirade we have never seen before. Rema was billed to perform alongside Davido, Mayorkun, and Fireboy. He did perform, but we gathered that there was some sort of altercation backstage, between himself and members of DMW, Davido’s record label.
Why?
It seems that the disrespect he got caused Rema to go on a string of rants with a lot of deep messages embedded in his tweets. He called out a lot of folks and said a lot of things. The tweets did not leave out his first lady love that rejected him when he had no money and was just starting out as an artist. Rema also mentioned his first sound engineer, show promoters, and his late brother’s friends.

We saw that Rema’s father was a high ranking member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). His name was Justice Ikubor. Rema accused the PDP of having a hand in his father’s death. Justice Ikubor was a high ranking member of the PDP in Edo state and the former GM of the Ethiope Publishing Company before his death.

A concerned Twitter user reached out to Don Jazzy, saying that the artist’s twitter password be changed. Don Jazzy reacted, saying,
“Why should I change his password? he’s only passing a message. Read on.“
Burna Boy also reacted to the “Iron Man” singer’s tweets. Everyone knows Burna is a blunt twitter user, so his expression of support for Rema came as a form of surprise. He tweeted,
“ I am so happy I had to come back to twitter for 2 mins. Big up @heisrema for real bro. you really made my day. I dey for you officially.”
Burna boy also affirmed that Rema is relatable and is an artist to look out for. He applauded the artist’s realness and honesty.
Rema, in his tweets, made an appeal to fellow artists like Oxlade, Omah Lay, Crayon and other next-generation artistes. He requested that they be friends because certain people will want to cause division among them for their own entertainment.
